Human skin tones—regardless of global ethnicity—share a very narrow chromatic hue angle along the photographic "Skin Tone Line" (lying in the orange-red spectrum at approximately 20° to 30° Hue, with $Cb$ and $Cr$ vectors tightly constrained). High-end portrait retouching preserves this fundamental melanin angle while balancing shadows and highlights.

RGB screens emit light and can display ultra-saturated neon cyans, vibrant greens, and deep magentas. Physical CMYK printing inks absorb light and have a smaller color gamut. Highly saturated RGB colors outside the printer's gamut must be compressed or mapped to the nearest printable ink tone.
